About Art and Homesteading channel
We're Trent & Lorajean. We're both professional artists! We have 5 kids! We're also rebuilding an old farm one project at a time!
In 2013 we sold our little house in the city and purchased a neglected 7 acre farm in Idaho. The farm was run-down, but cheap, which allowed us to get completely out of debt! We completely rebuilt our 1890's farmhouse little-by-little out of concrete, and reclaimed stone & wood. We love all things old, and integrate old style artistry using old-time skills. We find that old-fashioned, "primitive" skills are not only helpful and enjoyable to understand, but also highly artistic! We grow a lot of our own food, make our own dairy products, and raise most of our own meat and eggs. We spend as much time as possible together and with our 6 kids, and we try to live a good, happy, beautifully artistic life while learning how to be more self-sufficient.
