My name is Erik Hanchett and I'm a web and Java developer from Reno, Nevada. Currently I work as developer advocate for AWS Amplify. Quick plug, make sure to check out https://ui.docs.amplify.aws/.

I've been a programmer for many years now and I've always been wanting to give back to the community. I started this channel, and my website (www.programwitherik.com) as a way to teach people what I know.

I started learning web development seriously in early 2015, before that I strictly programmed in Java. I worked many nights and weekends getting up to speed and I blogged about my journey.
